Ratio, in collaboration with Sykehusbygg and Brønnøy Kommune (Municipality), has prepared a project of the new DMS South Helgeland (2016).
The purpose of a district medical center (DMS) in Brønnøysund is to facilitate the specialist and the municipalities health service by establishing an available, expanded and better coordinated healthcare facility closer to where the patient lives. * It is planned for an extension of the special health services offer for the four municipalities of Brønnøy, Vevelstad, Vega, Sømna in the existing Health and Care Center in Brønnøysund. This requires both reconstruction of the existing health center and a new building.
The new building is located west of today's Health and Care Center. A new entrance square in close proximity to parking welcomes patients and visitors to both DMS and the Health Center. The connection between new and existing is through a slim intermediate building creating a clear arrival situation.
The main entrance contains vestibule, canteen, waiting areas and new vertical connections common to both services. The entrance area is open and inviting with good connection to the outside areas in front of the building. A common expedition is located in the entrance hall in close proximity to a new elevator and open staircase to the upper floors. On the ground floor in the new building, emergency care and image diagnostics are proposed to be co-localized for immediate access for the patients and ambulances. It is planned that DMS should contain conventional X-ray, ultrasound and CT. In connection with the ambulance garage, accommodation and accommodation facilities for prehospital services are provided. Consulting rooms in the new building are located on the first floor, close to the excisting consulting areas and laboratories. In the first phase, only technical areas are placed on the second floor but it also provides a possible extension in the future. close >>
